FMMI 101 - Introduction to FMMI Training Delivery
June and July marked the beginning of Financnail Management Modernization INitiative (FMMI) training with delivery of FMMI 101 - Introduction to FMMI, in multiple locations throughout the country. FMMI 101 training is presented by OCFO Leadership in New Orleans, La., Beltsville, MD and Washington, DC, and also via teleconference. The training courses provide an understanding of the FMMI program, the USDA re-engineered processes, and the new application(s) and develops further awareness of the impact of FMMI on USDA financial management.

FMMI 101 is a foundational course for all other FMMI Training and is required for all users who will access the FMMI system. Because the training curriculum builds on concepts from previous courses, FMMI training should be taken in proper sequence starting with 101.

FMMI at 2009 Financial Management Training (FMT)
FMMI had a major role at the 2009 Financial Management Training (FMT) May 6-8, 2009 in Washington, DC. FMT is a major conference for finance personnel at USDA. At the opening session FMMI Leadership presented a two hour FMMI overview and gave the audience of over 400 USDA finance personnel a demonstration of the FMMI system. Part of the presentation included officially launching the FMMI website (http://info.fmmi.usda.gov), which provides timely information on FMMI and will host links to the FMMI Portal at the go-live of Deployment 1 in October 2009.
